At Aeon we do the research to cut through the enormous amount of marketing hype and “technobabble” that surrounds the Information Technology market to find the products that are reliable, cost effective and most importantly, do the job.
We also believe that the stability of our company is one of the primary motivating factors for customers who choose to do business with us. After all, the warranty that comes with IT equipment is only as good as the company that sells and supports it.
We also own the premises where our office is located. This has allowed us the flexibility to provide adequate facilities to meet our customer’s needs.
Aeon Computer is the longest running IT company in Kimberley. Our length of time in business provides a level of stability that is not available from most IT companies.
Our History
AeoN Computer:
James Gird established AeoN Computer in February 1993 in Petrusburg. The company started as a one-man business doing repairs and building computers. As the business expanded AeoN moved to Kimberley during November 1995. Since 1996 the Company has gone from strength to strength. AeoN has grown from a one man operation to a full staff compliment. During the years as other markers have become available other departments have been added to provide a wider range of services to our clients. All departments do business under Aeonline CC, a closed corporation established during 2001.
IneXt:
We were the first company to provide local internet access in Kimberley under the IneXt trading name. Inext also bought out Kimnet, Kimberley’s only other 100% local internet access company. IneXt has now been fully incorporated into Aeon. Currently we are still the only Internet Provider in Kimberley who own dedicated servers managed internally.
Ampibic Design:
Aeon was the first to bring local internet access to the City Kimberley and in 1997 created the first website dedicated to Kimberley.
In 2011 ago our Design department was split off from Aeon to create its own identity
Amphibic focus on online designs, print designs, and online marketing.
Amphibic is a separate di-vision but still 100% backed by the Support Staff of Aeon Computer.
In 2014 Aeon acquired NC Web, a rival local website design company, which has been integrated with Amphibic Design.
